«Tourism and Business always travel together», with this theme FESTURIS Gramado – International Tourism Fair, prepares an edition that promises to be historical and guarantees to move the tourism sector from November 08 to 11, 2018. For being the 30th edition, many new surprises are expected by the trade and are announced from the beginning of the year by the organization. The creation of FESTURIS Meeting, Tech and Corporate Space, Influence Space, change of identity and layout and two launches in October are some of the innovations in the structuring of the fair, its promotion and organization.
Proof that the Business Fair will come with force in 2018 is the addition of major international brands and destinations that will come to Gramado for the first time. The event already has 75% of the spaces marketed and the event in Serra Park will bring as a novelty the participation of important brands and destinations such as Disney, Spain, Ivory Coast, USA, Arab Chamber, representing 20 countries in the Middle East, Puerto Varas, South Africa, Paraguay and Bairrada Route. In addition to these new destinations, traditional participants such as destinations and national and international brands must move the event as it occurs annually. In all, there will be more than 2 thousand brands and destinations on display in an area of 22 thousand square meters. The news: FESTURIS Meeting, Tech and Corporate, Project Ambassador and two launches
FESTURIS Meeting – The feature of this year in Gramado is the creation of FESTURIS Meeting. Space for content and networking, the Meeting takes place at the Hotel Master Gramado, on the mornings on November 9 and 10, and will be exclusive to 500 tourism professionals. With this news, the Congress that took place in the Palácio dos Festivais, is no longer happening. Participants will have access to a unique content grid, training and contact with personalities and success cases in the Tourism of Brazil and the World. The accreditation is paid, is already open, and can be made on the FESTURIS website.
Luxury Space – The space that is successful in Brazil has doubled in size compared to 2017: there are 30 more exhibitors and all space is already commercialized. There will be more than 250 luxury buyers from around the world closing deals with participating brands in an exclusive space within the fair. Tech and Corporate Space – The Latin American Association of Travel and Events Managers (Alagev) will be at the forefront of the Tech and Corporate Space curatorship, one of the new features this year. The entity will use its expertise to bring actions aimed at the MICE sector within the fair, through a space that will connect Corporate, Technology and Content. A large area of content should complement the space with intense programming on the afternoons of November 9 and 10 in Serra Park.
Influence Space – This area will gather influencers at the Business Fair of FESTURIS highlighting the brands and actions of exhibitors that will be in Gramado, in real time. Groups of influencers from Brazil and abroad must travel through space and the fair in an unprecedented action.
Launching in Caxias do Sul and Porto Alegre – FESTURIS will have two launches in 2018. The novelty will be the launch in Caxias do Sul, the first time the city of Rio Grande do Sul will host the event. The launch in Caxias will be on the night of October 4 at the Intercity Hotel. A week later, on October 9, at the Hotel Laghetto Vertice Manhattan in Porto Alegre, the launch takes place in the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Gathering the two October releases, FESTURIS 2018 and its novelties will be presented to more than one thousand professionals from Southern Brazil, journalists and authorities.
There are more than 3 thousand registered – By the end of August FESTURIS already counted more than 3.5 thousand professionals from Brazil and abroad accredited. The expectation of the organization is that the event receives more than 12 thousand professionals of Tourism in the three days of the event with a growth of at least 10%, more than 250 journalists from Brazil and abroad are expected to cover the event. The increase in the number of participants should be driven by the performance of the tourism executives nominated as FESTURIS Ambassadors. There are more than 30 professionals from Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná who work as representatives of the event, promoting FESTURIS and its news and encouraging travel agents to participate in the fair in Gramado. Schedule – The program of FESTURIS will have the Opening Ceremony at the Palácio dos Festivais on the night of November 8th, starting at 7:30 p.m. On November 9th and 10th, the FESTURIS Meeting will take place at the Hotel Master Gramado in the morning. The Business Fair, takes place at Serra Park, on the days of November 9th and 10th. The 11th is free for disassembly and Tourism by Serra Gaúcha.
