INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FAIR 2016 TAKES PLACE NOVEMBER 3-6 IN GRAMADO, FOCUSES ON LUXURY AND SEGMENTATION

FESTURIS: a trade show focused on generating business for Latin America

FESTURIS Gramado – International Tourism Fair will have its 28th edition in 2016. The fair will occupy 22,000 square meters at Serra Park in Gramado, and is considered by the trade to be the most effective tourism business fair in Latin America and the second largest in size.

This year the fair will be divided into spaces such as LGBT, Accessibility, Luxury (new 2016), Entertainment, Gastronomic Destinations, Wine tourism, Cultural and Religious Technology, Mice, Sustainability and Green Tourism and Training Rooms ( workshops and talks).

2,500 brands will be exhibited in more than 400 stands for an audience of more than 14,000 professionals coming from all continents. This segmentation boosts training, promotion, distribution and marketing of participating brands. In this model, approaching the exhibitors of the main players in your niche without losing the chance of contact with potential buyers in other segments.

Thus, the generation of business is fostered within the fair, resulting in a R$ 212 million economic impact in the last issue, according to the Tourism Observatory of the Federal Fluminense University (RJ).

FESTURIS 2016
The FESTURIS Opening Ceremony takes place at 8:00pm on Thursday, November 3. With the presence of the highest authorities in the tourism sector such as the Minister of Tourism, Marx Beltrão, and the president of Embratur, Vinícius Lummertz, the ceremony will have artistic presentation signed by the City of Santa Maria in partnership with the Dance Academy Neusa Martinotto. Rio Grande do Sul is the Host State this 28th edition. The National Confederation of Commerce (CNC) is the master sponsor of the event.

With record expected participation of Brazilian and international Tourism professionals, FESTURIS is divided into the Congress, the mornings of November 4 and 5 at the Palácio dos Festivais and the Tradeshow, on the afternoons of the 4th and 5th at Serra Park.

The Congress, which has the institutional support of Senac RS and free admission,  focuses on the provision of knowledge and presentation of key issues for the renewal of the sector such as Integration Between Borders, Legalization of Gameing and the 2016 Olympic Games.

In the trade show, the emphasis is for the participation of exhibitors from the private sector and the launch of Luxury Space. With growth of 58% in the number of subscribers in advance, with respect to 2015, the expectation is quite crowded hallways and lots of business generation.

The 28th edition of FESTURIS Gramado – International Tourism Fair, already has confirmation of many brands known worldwide. All continents will be represented either with destinations or companies that are a reference in the sector.

The novelty is the Luxury Space that will have the presence of specific brands from this segment and receive luxury buyer groups from the national and international market. Those who have confirmed their participation in this space: Saint Andrews, Turks and Caicos, Air Tahiti Nui, Mercatur Premium, Tahiti Tourism, the Seychelles and La Hacienda.

Another important contribution are the Gaúcho entities that join the event. Ugart, Sindetur-RS, RS-ABAV, Redetur and FENAGTUR, are preparing the event format for this year.

Anti-crisis event
The thematic grid of the Congress, prepared in partnership with ABAV-RS, will focus on: Innovation, Competitiveness, Expansion and Management in the Era of Shared Economy.

“FESTURIS is the best professional event inBrazilian tourism, participitation is a must for any professional who wants to or is investing in their career. This is a formative event, internationally recognized, which attracts suppliers from around the world to expose brands and destinations and train professionals, “says the president of Redetur, Juarez Barrozo.

The directors of FESTURIS, Marta Rossi, Eduardo Zorzanello and Marcus Vinicius Rossi, worked hard and increased the travel schedule since the beginning of the year in an endeavor to make the fair an anti-crisis event for the tourism sector.

“In a year so complicated for the economy, we want FESTURIS be an anti-crisis space with lots of generation of business and news for the industry,” says the executive Marta Rossi.

“We are not mediating efforts and the relationship agenda and closing of contracts has been intense since the beginning of the year, so the result is already positive,” says Eduardo Zorzanello, director of the trade fair.

“Our goal is to present a beautiful and productive fair and lots of business generation. This is one of our characteristics and we focus highly on productivity to reach this positive number in the five months to the event,” says director Marcus Vinicius Rossi.
